DECEMBER 2018 (ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YEW…)
With the weather still relatively mild and damp in Essex, December is an ideal time to plant new hedges and trees. All bare root hedging, mixed native hedging, young native trees and YEW hedging(!) are available for despatch with a lead time of around 4-10 days.
Christmas and New Year Opening Times
The last delivery date before Christmas will be Friday 21st December. The office will be closed from midday on Saturday 22nd December until Wednesday 2nd January. First deliveries in the New Year will be from Thursday 3rd January.

EARLY NOVEMBER 2018
The season for bare root plants has now started, and nearly all bare root hedging and trees are now available. A few trees won’t be available until a little later in the month. We are currently working through the backlog of early orders and hope to have despatched most orders by the end of next week or the middle of the week commencing 19th November. After then lead times will reduce to between 4-10 days on most orders.
October 2018
Bare root hedging, including all our native farm hedging mixes will be available from early November. Please order early if you require delivery during the first few weeks of November.
SEPTEMBER 2018
All bare root hedging and young trees are now available to pre-order for delivery in November.
September is a good month to trim most hedges, to shape them up after a late surge in growth. For farmers, farm hedging and trees can be cut under RPA schemes from 1st September until 28th February, with coppicing and hedge laying allowable until 30th April
June 2018
As we head towards mid-Summer, we still have good quantities of Hedging Lavender available: Lavender Hidcote (Lavandula angustifolia), and Lavender Munstead (Lavandula angustifolia), and the taller varieties Old English Lavender (Lavandula spica), and Dutch Lavender (Lavandula vera).

We have now finished despatching orders of bare root hedging and trees for this season. For a short time, we will still have small numbers of some bare root plants available for collection only, at substantially discounted prices! Please ring for details.
We have new Spring batches of pot grown Lavender hedging available now.
21st April 2018
With the bare root hedging season coming to an end, many plants will not now be available until next Autumn. However we do still have availability on small numbers of some bare root plants into next week. If in any doubt, please ring to check stock.
10th April 2018
With the warmer weather of the last few days, many plants are now starting to break leaf – so the season for bare root plants will be coming to an end soon. We still have good availability on most hedging and trees for now. Order lead times are between 4-10 days at present, so orders placed now will likely be delivered during week commencing 16th April.
Late March 2018
The cold weather of recent weeks has held plants back and it certainly seems like a late Spring. We anticipate that most bare root plants will be available until mid April at least! However we would urge customers to order as soon as possible. A few of our trees have now sold out for this season, but we still have good availability on hedging plants and the more common native trees.
