Our BN11 Native Hedge mix consists of 60% Hawthorn, 10% Blackthorn, 10% Field Maple, 10% Common Dogwood and 10% Hazel, which complies with DEFRA specifications.
Countryside Stewardship Hedging must be planted at a minimum of 6 plants per metre in a staggered double row, with 40cm between each row. Planting should be carried out between 1st November and 31st March, in order to be eligible under the grant terms. The hedgeshould be kept weed for the first 2 years free in order to help growth. Any guards or fencing must be left in place until the hedge is established.
